Lake Pleasant, AZ

The Desert Tortoise Campground at Lake Pleasant Regional Park is a large campground, located in three main loops on the shores of the popular lake north of Phoenix

I decided to take a road trip in May of 2021 to AZ because the weather forecast was nothing but rain for a week in Oly and could not stand another day of that.  Packed my camping gear that night and got on the road the next morning.  Had a tip from a friend who lived in AZ on this campground, and they were spot on!  Absolutely, gorgeous and nothing but blue skies and 90-degree weather when I was there.

Boating, Swimming, Camping, Hiking in May!!  There are a couple of marinas on the lake, and both have boats, jet skis, paddle boards and kayak rentals.  I decided on a Pontoon boat to explore the lake for a day!

Ohh... And don't forget to look up to the sky when camping here at night!  I witnessed my one and only UFO sighting!! Yes UFO!!
My video does a mediocre job of capturing what we saw but I think you will get the idea!

And if this video doesn't quite get it for you.  Check This Out Phoenix Lights News
